Heliotextil Recycling Program

Our recycling program is an important part of our sustainability strategy. We use recycled polyester (rPET) for our festival wristbands in particular. Compared to other materials, rPET offers an excellent energy balance. By using recycled polyester yarns, we can save around 60% more energy than when using the energy-efficient Ökotex 100 quality, although the transportation of the materials requires additional energy.

During the event, collection points will be set up where the festival wristbands and any RFID chips will be collected. After the event, these materials are sent to us in Austria. Here we separate the products into their individual components and send them either for reuse, recycling or proper disposal.

In particular, the recycling of materials such as rPET contributes to reducing plastic waste and CO2 emissions, as it reduces the need for new raw materials and closes the material cycle.

Another advantage of recycling is the reduction in environmental impact. By recycling festival wristbands, we can conserve valuable resources and significantly reduce the amount of waste. It also reduces energy consumption, as recycled materials require less energy to produce than new raw materials. The entire recycling process therefore contributes to a more sustainable event organization, which is not only more environmentally friendly, but also raises awareness of resource conservation and the circular economy.
